Chapter 65 - Arabella

Arabella closed her eyes when Hunter brushed his lips along her skin. Her entire body tingled and all she wanted to do was take Hunter back to her room or back to the couch, she didn't really care either way. Arabella turned and rested her hands on his sides. She was a little shocked that he had made the first move but she liked it. It was nice to know that he wanted her too. Arabella kissed him and her nerves jumped with excitement. Was this really going to happen? Was everything finally going to go right today? Arabella leaned into him and she ran her hands down his sides, caressing his muscles, her fingertips just grazing his skin. Hunter's lips traveled down to her jaw again and Arabella hooked her thumbs into the waistband of his pants. But then her heart sank. She remembered something that made everything fall apart. Why? Why did this happen to her now? She figured that she must be cursed. "Hunter? Maybe we should go back to the Froot Loops" She whispered and Hunter stopped what he was doing. She couldn't blame him, really. Arabella had been doing everything but jumping him the past couple of days and now she was telling him to stop.

"Why?" Hunter asked her, looking up at her. Arabella could tell that he was asking because he was actually curious and not just because he was disappointed. Arabella bit her lip and looked down at the ground for a second before looking up at him,

"I don't have any...protection. I thought I did but I looked yesterday and I don't" Arabella confessed "And unless you have any then..." she finished with a sigh. Arabella looked up at him with sad eyes and he shrugged it off. Which, by the way, was one of the things that Arabella loved about him. He wasn't about to get angry at Arabella because they didn't have protection and even if he was upset, he wasn't about to make her feel guilty. Arabella groaned and put her forehead on Hunter's shoulder in a head desk sort of way. Hunter chuckled and rubbed her back.

"Why is this so hard?" Hunter said with a little sigh. Arabella could tell that he was being sarcastic, teasing her but she couldn't help herself. She let out a little giggle.

"That's what she said" Arabella giggled and looked up at Hunter with a grin on her face. Hunter, however, was looking at her like she had three heads.

"No..I just said that.." Hunter said, still sounding very confused. Arabella laughed and patted his chest.

"Just...never mind" Arabella laughed and kissed his cheek "You should go get a shower though, because you kind of smell like a brewery" she teased and Hunter looked down at himself for a second with pink cheeks.

"Oh...gods" Hunter muttered and he moved away from her, headed towards the shower.

"Next time you decide to drink, I want to be there" Arabella called back at him and she got a wave of his hand in return that clearly said 'next time I drink will be when the world ends'. Arabella giggled and turned back to the kitchen. She poured herself another cup of coffee and walked out to the living room. With a sigh, she looked at the window that had recently been fixed. It felt like that had happened so long ago. Her stomach knotted up when she thought about how horrible and lonely she felt. Arabella's phone chirped with an email and Arabella picked it up to look at it. It was the email confirming her flight to London. She let out a soft sigh and deleted the email, throwing her phone onto the couch. Why did this have to be so difficult? Couldn't her and Hunter just have a happy life together? Why was everything in their way? It was like the whole world was against them.

Arabella finished off her coffee and quickly washed her cup. She walked down the hall, past the bathroom and looked into Hunter's room. Arabella walked back to the living room and grabbed the blanket off of the couch and took it back to his room. She spread the blanket on his bed, neatly making it. Arabella looked around for a minute and smiled softly. She opened the blinds on the window and sat down on his bed, looking around. Arabella grabbed the pillow off of his bed and hugged it to her chest. If someone had told her three years ago that her and Hunter would be living together, she would be trying her hardest to get into his pants and that she would be head over heels in love with him..Arabella would have said that they were crazy. But now it all felt so right. Like it was meant to happen. Loving Hunter made Arabella realize that whatever she felt for the other guys was not really love. What she had with Hunter was love.

"Ellie, I uh..oh..uhm" Hunter stammered from the door way. Arabella looked up and saw Hunter standing there with damp skin and wet hair. He also only had a towel wrapped around his waist. Arabella blushed deeply and his cheeks matched hers in color. She stood up, putting the pillow back on his bed. What she really wanted to do was rip the towel out of his hands and...

"Sorry" Arabella said softly, looking down at the ground awkwardly "I'll just...go.." she added and bit her lip. She headed out of his room but when she passed him, she pulled his head down to hers and she kissed him. Arabella slowly pulled away from the kiss "I am one lucky girl" she told him and patted his chest. With a smile, she slipped out of the room and closed the door before he could say anything. She walked to her bedroom, blushing still and her heart hammering. She sat down on her bed and looked around, not really remembering why she had walked down there. Arabella got up and grabbed the dress form in the corner and started to roll it out to the living room. She placed it in front of the couch and grabbed the bag with the half finished dress. Arabella slipped it over and started working on it, pinning it up and gently working on the train. Hunter walked down the hall and looked at Arabella awkwardly but she didn't want to talk about what had just happened.

"Would you pass me my sewing kit, Hunter? It's under the coffee table" Arabella said and looked up at him. Hunter nodded and grabbed it, passing it over to her "Thanks" she said with with a smile and started rummaging around for a little clear button.

"Is this all you have to do today?" Hunter asked her, sitting down in the lazy boy chair. Arabella paused and thought about it for a moment before responding.

"This, I have to reply to a couple emails and I have to get some designs done" Arabella told him and shrugged "Daniel said that he would do most of the paper work and stuff like that today" she added with a grin.

"So, we have the day to ourselves, pretty much?" Hunter asked and Arabella looked over at him. A devious smile spread across her lips and she nodded. She put down the button that was in her hands and she crawled across the couch towards Hunter. She went over to him and sat herself on his lap with a leg on either side of him. Arabella wrapped her arms around his neck and smiled.

"All day" She whispered and pressed her lips against his.

It's odd. When something in really wonderful and a day is nearly perfect, time seems to go at hyper speed. The sun had already set and Arabella had finished up with her work. She had just gotten out of the shower and was in her room, spreading lotion over her legs. Her dress for the wedding the next day was hanging up on her door with the shoes and everything that she would need sitting beside it on a chair. Arabella twisted her hair into a bun and tugged at the pair of men's boxers she wore as pajama shorts, fixing them on her legs. She stood in the mirror, looking down at her body, analyzing what she saw. As she looked in the mirror, she saw a pair of arms wrap around her waist and Arabella smiled, leaning into Hunter's warm body.

"Have I told you lately that you're beautiful?" Hunter said softly in her ear and Arabella blushed.

"No, I don't think you managed to tell me in the past 30 minutes" She teased and when he pressed his lips against her shoulder, she got goose bumps. Arabella turned to look at him and wrapped her arms around his neck. She kissed him lightly then rested her head on his chest and yawned "I should go to bed. I might fall asleep right here" She whispered and Hunter bent down slightly, picking her up. Arabella laughed and put her arms around his neck as he walked her to her bed. He gently put her down but Arabella didn't take her arms away from his neck. She pulled him down to her so he had no choice but to lay down next to her "Stay with me tonight?" Arabella asked him in a quiet voice. Hunter kissed the top of her head and Arabella smiled.

"I'm not going anywhere" Hunter told her and she closed her eyes. Falling asleep next to Hunter was the best feeling in the world. She felt so safe and warm. It wasn't long before she was drifting off into a peaceful sleep.
