Arabella woke up early that morning, she didn't sleep for very long. With a soft sigh, Arabella pushed herself off of the couch and tip toed out of the living room, trying not to wake Hunter. She walked to the kitchen and poured herself a cup of coffee. Hunter had ticked her off the previous night and she still felt a little bitter about it. With any luck, they would be able to just move past it. Arabella was bothered about the fight with Hunter. They had never really fought with each other like that. Arabella took a sip of her coffee and looked up when she heard someone walking down the stairs. Penny was walking into the kitchen, wearing a pair of pajama pants and a loose t-shirt. She gave Arabella a small smile and went to get a glass of apple juice.
"How did you sleep?" Arabella asked softly and took a sip of her coffee. Penny put the juice jug away and she shrugged lightly.
"Pretty good, I guess. You?" Penny asked and looked over at Arabella. She took a breath and let it out in a little huff.
"I've slept better" Arabella eventually said. They stood together in silence for a few minutes. Arabella's mind was on Hunter and what had happened the previous night. She figured that Penny was probably thinking the same thing "Is Will still asleep?"
"Who knows. Probably, but he won't sleep in the same bed as me so for all know, he's wide awake doing Zeus knows what" Penny muttered under he breath then looked up at Arabella who was raising an eyebrow at her "Oh, sorry..was that out loud?"
"Yeah, it was" Arabella said with a little laugh and she put down her empty coffee mug "Today is officially a girls day. Go get dressed and we'll head out" she said and walked up to the room that she was sharing with Hunter. In a few minutes, Penny was waiting by the door and Arabella was getting her purse.
"Where are we going?" Penny asked and Arabella shrugged.
"We'll probably go into the city. Maybe do some shopping. Go to the spa. Sushi for lunch" Arabella said and sighed "Dammit, I forgot that I don't have my car here.." she muttered and looked out of the window. Hunter's baby was there and so was Will's car "Do you drive?"
"No, sorry.." Penny said softly and Arabella bit her lip. She didn't like the idea of taking Will's car. She didn't know him well enough and if the guys were going to be mad that they took a car, she didn't want Will mad at her. Hunter being mad at her, she might be able to handle. Arabella walked over to Hunter and ever so gently slid the keys out of his pocket. With a small giggle, Penny and Arabella slipped out of the house and into the car. Soon after, they were driving down the road and the Katy Perry was playing on the radio.
They drove towards the city in silence, the only sounds was the music playing out of the radio softly. Penny and Arabella didn't need to speak to each other. They were both thinking and lost in their own little worlds. Arabella drove until they got to her favorite shopping street. The store that her company owned was on the street along with other designer stores and a couple of cheaper clothing stores, like H&M. She parked in front of the Chanel store and slipped out of the car. Penny followed her into the store and she looked around in amazement.
"Arabella..I can't afford any of this stuff" Penny said softly, looking at the price tag on a $500.00 purse. Arabella waved her hand, dismissing Penny's comments.
"I have so much store credit, it isn't even funny. Besides, it's my treat" Arabella said and she put a dress into Penny's hands. Penny let out a sigh but she didn't say anything else. She held the dress in her hands and followed Arabella around the store.
"So, why was Hunter sleeping on the couch? Did something happen?" Penny asked and Arabella bit her lip.
"We uh, we got into a bit of a fight last night and we both fell asleep on the couch" Arabella said and she picked up a pair of shorts.
"What happened? Is everything okay?" Penny asked and Arabella shrugged lightly.
"I don't know...I have an ex boyfriend, named Chad and he is kind of the worst person ever. It was a really, really unhealthy relationship" Arabella started and she gave Penny a look. Penny looked at her and nodded, understanding what Arabella meant. Arabella really didn't want to get into the details of her and Chad's relationship at the moment "Anyway, I just found out that Hunter has gotten into a couple of pretty serious fights with Chad and he never told me about it until I asked him last night. I got pretty mad at him then he said some stuff back to me and it was just one big mess"
"And you're upset that he didn't say anything" Penny said softly, nodding lightly.
"Well...yeah! He lied to my face about it and if he had just told me the truth instead of lying, I probably wouldn't be this upset. What also really pisses me off though is that he keeps getting into these physical fights with Chad and I can't stand it. Hunter is going to get himself seriously hurt one of these days and I hate having to worry about that. It's like..he just doesn't get it and I don't know how I'm going to get through to him" Arabella ranted then huffed. She quickly paid for their things and they walked out of the store.
"I'm sure that he'll come around and you two will make things work again" Penny said, looking down at the bags in her hands with a slight look of guilt. Arabella nodded softly and let out a sigh. She looked at her phone and saw that it was 12:34PM.
"Let's go get some lunch" Arabella said and together they walked to the sushi place on the corner. They walked in and found a table by the window. After ordering their food, Arabella took a sip of her Pepsi and leaned back in her chair.
"So..I'm guessing that you haven't talked to Will, since you slept in different rooms last night" Arabella said and Penny blushed deeply before shaking her head.
"I don't know..this whole relationship just feels so..stuck. I don't even know how to begin to talk to him" Penny sighed and took a bite of her tuna roll when it came.
"What do you mean, stuck?" Arabella asked her and leaned forwards a little bit.
"We've been together for years now and he makes me really happy. We really care about each other but nothing has happened. We just..kiss and hug and talk and that's it. I've been waiting for something to happen but I'm just so new to it all and I have no clue what I'm doing" Penny said in one breath then let out a sigh "Don't most couple have sex by the time they've reached three years?"
"You..you and Will...never..." Arabella sputtered, kind of shocked. Her and Hunter hadn't been together for very long at all and they already did it. Sex was something that Arabella did and loved and was a part of her life, she didn't think that there were couples that could do for three years and never do it "You've never had sex?" she said softly, out of shock more than anything. Penny looked down and shook her head.
"I don't know what I'm doing, I don't know how to talk to him about it. I don't know how to show him that I'm ready" Penny said and bit her lip "I'm just so confused"
"You just have to be up front and honest with him. Tell him what you're telling me" Arabella said and ate some of her food. "If you don't know what to say to him then show him how you feel. Get something from Victoria's Secret and go up to him and grab his face and kiss him. He can't ignore Victoria's Secret. He is a man after all"
The rest of the afternoon went by really fast. Arabella had taken Penny to Victoria's Secret and picked out a lingerie set for her, which made Penny blush a whole lot. After that, they went to the spa. Both of them got their nails done, facials and massages. Fully relaxed, they drove home just as the sun was setting.
"I'm nervous" Penny admitted softly, looking down at the Victoria's Secret bag in her shaking hands. Arabella looked over at her and gave her a small smile.
"You'll be fine. Will has been with you for three years now without sex..he must be really head over heels for you. If you're honest with him then it'll make everything easier and it won't blow up in your face a year from now" Arabella said and turned her eyes back to the road. They were almost back to the beach house now but it had gotten pretty dark. Arabella turned down the dirt road. In the distance, Arabella could see that Hunter and Will had started a fire in the fire pit and were sitting around it.
They parked the car and they slid out, both of them had their arms full with bags from different stores. Arabella noticed that Penny had hidden the Victoria's Secret bag in a bag from Chanel. She locked the car doors and walked over to Hunter. She smiled at him, even though she was really not very happy with him and handed him the keys "Have a good day?"
