Chapter 75 - Hunter

Hunter's eyes widened. "Umm..." He muttered before kissing her again. He kissed her again for a second. "Let me think about it." He said with a sigh before wrapping his arm around her and rolling her on top of him. He wasn't sure how he felt about meeting her dad. Hunter wasn't exactly the perfect person to bring home. She met him on the street. He doesn't have a job. He was really good at knife-fighting and archery. "Do you really want to bring me home to meet your dad?" Hunter asked kissing her again.

"He's seen much worse than you, my dear." She said against his lips. Hunter finally stopped kissing her and let her slide off of him onto the bed. She put her head onto his shoulder and lightly rubbed his chest with her hand. Hunter wrapped his arm around her and kissed her hair. He sighed and laid his head back on the bed.

"If you're sure." He said, lightly tracing her fingers with his fingernails. "Ellie, I'd be happy to meet your father." He said with a smile. She looked up at him and leaned toward him. He kissed her long and tenderly before breaking away. They laid there on the bed stealing kisses every other moment until finally falling asleep.

The next morning, when Hunter woke up, Arabella was gone. Hunter wasn't shocked that he had slept so late considering it was the first sleep he had gotten in a few days. He sat up and rubbed his eyes before swinging his legs off the side of the bed and letting his feet touch the ground. He stood up and took off his shirt. He slipped out of his jeans and picked them up and his shirt and tossed them in the hamper. Hunter figured that Arabella had gone downstairs to scavenge for food or something. He let his boxers fall to the floor just as he heard  the toilet flush in his connected bathroom. He cursed under his breath and managed to quickly pull them up just before the door opened and Arabella stepped out. He looked at her with a red face and smiled nervously "Good morning, Ellie." He said quietly as he tried to find some clothes. He finally tracked down a clean pair of khaki shorts and slipped them on before looking at her. Her face was red and she had a hand covering her mouth. Hunter rolled his eyes. "Just go ahead. If you hold it in anymore, you'll hurt yourself." She burst out in giggles.

"I'm sorry, Hunter." She said between fits of giggling. "We have got to stop meeting like this." Hunter chuckled and ran forward. He picked her up and kissed her on the cheek.

"I didn't think you minded meeting like this." He said with a smile. Her giggles died down slightly and she kissed him on the nose.

"I don't. I just want it to be in a different...position." She said with a seductive smile as she gently traced Hunter's chest with her finger. "Now, put me down and get a shirt. I'll be downstairs waiting for you to make me lunch." She said before kissing him lightly on the lips. Hunter chuckled and let her slide down to the floor. She winked at him before stepping out of the room. Hunter grabbed an old beat up camp shirt that he had asked Mike to hold on to and put it on. He chuckled to himself as he left the room.

He walked into the kitchen to see Arabella doing exactly what she said she'd be doing. Waiting for him to make her something for lunch. "Pizza, okay?" He asked as he stuck his head in the pantry. She shrugged and finished the text she was typing.

"Where are we getting it from?" She asked, looking up at him. Hunter looked at her with narrowed eyes.

"The...pantry? I'm making it." He said setting ingredients on the counter. She set down her phone and looked at him.

"You're MAKING the pizza? Like...in the oven?" She asked, stepping forward. Hunter tilted his head.

"Actually, Ellie. I was going to carve a hole in the ground and build a fire." He said sarcastically. "Premade crust. Toppings. Sauce. Cheese. Make-your-own." He said pointing to all of the things. "I'll preheat the oven. You go ahead and start topping your crust. I'm going to sit here and pretend to wait impatiently while I wait." She turned and punched him in the arm before returning to her crust. Hunter waited for a little while before sighing and stepping behind her. He wrapped his arms around her waited and kissed the back of her neck. She responded by putting her arms on his and leaning into him. He loved the feeling of it. "Almost done?" He asked putting his chin on her shoulder. She turned and nodded.

"I made a pepperoni heart." She said with a laugh. Hunter looked down and saw exactly that. He kissed her lightly on the cheek and released his embrace.

"I can do you one better." He said as he grabbed a knife and a cutting board. He grabbed a green pepper and cut perfect half-heart pieces. He placed them all around the pepperoni and smiled at her. "Ready to cook?" He said with a raised eyebrow. She nodded excitedly and Hunter chuckled. He grabbed the pizza carefully and, after Arabella opened the oven door, he slipped it in. It had to cook for about 15 minutes. Hunter leaned on the wall. "So, what's your dad like?" He asked nervously.
