Chapter 79 - Hunter

Hunter swallowed as he worked on the food. It was his very first time and Arabella told Daniel. Of course she told Daniel. He looked down at the food. "So...What was that about?" He asked quietly. He heard her sigh.

"I was just talking to Daniel." She said calmly before walking up to him and planting a kiss on his cheek. "About you of course." Hunter blushed. Daniel had always had an unwelcome crush on Hunter.

"An...enlightening conversation?" He said as he shut the stove off. He slid the bacon onto a plate and portioned out the eggs. She reached across him to grab a strip of bacon, making sure to make a suggestive amount of contact with him to make Hunter's mind swim with memories of last night's activity. He completely forgot that she was upset with her. He blushed all over again.

"The bacon is perfect." She said, chewing and swallowing a piece. Hunter shook his head and set a plate of bacon and eggs in front of her on the table. He grabbed his own plate of food and sat down by her.

"Uhh...Thanks." He said quietly. Hunter didn't feel a whole lot different than he did last night, but he knew for a fact that he loved Arabella. He looked up at her and smiled softly. Would asking her to move in be so bad? He took a bite of egg and chewed it quietly. "So, what did you really talk to Daniel about?" He said, not really caring about the fact that she told him about last night. He was going to find out either way.

"My company." She said with a nod. "I gave it to him. He's been doing most of the work at this point anyway." Hunter's heart sank. Was she giving up her company for him?

"I'm sorry, Ellie." He said quietly. "You didn't have to do that for me at all. I can deal with-"

"No, no, no." She interrupted with a smile. "I wasn't enjoying it there. It wasn't fun anymore." She shrugged and ate the last piece of bacon. "The best part is that I can still design dresses if I want. If I'm ever feeling inspired." She said, sticking her nose jokingly into the air.

"I guess that's okay." He said before smiling at her. "You do really make beautiful dresses, Ellie. I'm glad you get to keep doing it." He said, taking a bite of egg. She looked up at him and smiled.

"Thanks, Stud Muffin." She said before leaning and kissing him lightly on the cheek. Hunter blushed and smiled back at her.

"Just speaking the truth," He said quietly, "Honey bunch." He said with a smile. She grinned and brought his face across the table before pressing her lips to his. They finished eating and Hunter did the dishes as Arabella went outside. Once Hunter was done with the dishes he went upstairs and scrounged up some clothes. He took them into the bathroom to take a shower. The only thing he could think of was Arabella. It was all he had to think about. It was all he wanted to think about. He was curious how she would react to him asking her to move in with him. Less curious and more nervous. He stepped out of the shower and put on some clean clothes. He walked down the stairs and to the back door. He saw her standing out by the water. Hunter smiled gently and walked out to her. He stood next to her and grabbed her hand.

"It's beautiful out here." She said quietly. Hunter nodded and looked at her nervously. She moved closer and put her head on his shoulder. He looked at her and kissed her hair.

"It's because you're out here." Hunter said quietly. She laughed and kissed him on the jaw. Hunter blushed slightly before putting an arm around her waist. He didn't pull her close. He didn't pick her up. It was completely innocent. He just wanted to be with her and hold her in his arms. "Hey, umm..." He mumbled nervously. She turned to look at him and gave him a brief hug.

"Do you want to sit down?" She asked, her face inches from his. Hunter shrugged and tried to show that he wasn't nervous. He sat down in the sand and helped her down to the ground as well. She sat down and  finally put her head on his leg. Hunter blushed and hid his face for a moment before looking down at her. He swallowed and started lightly running a few fingers through her hair. He must have had a bothered look on his face because she could tell something was wrong. "Hunter, are you okay?" She asked, reaching up and caressing his face. Hunter leaned into her hand and offered a small smile.

"I just wanted to ask you something." He said before taking a deep breath. "You know uh....do you remember...Ummm...." He rambled before swallowing. She looked at him and smiled at his awkwardness. Hunter looked down at her and kissed her lightly on the nose. He sat back up and looked down before smiling slightly. "Ellie, do you want to move in with me?" He asked nervously. She looked at him in slight surprise. She looked him in the eye for a few moments before sitting up and placing a small kiss on his cheek.

"Of course " She said with a smile. Hunter grinned and bent down and kissed her head. "I guess we'll have to start up on packing up my apartment." She said with a shrug. Arabella looked at him and smiled. Her smile made Hunter want to kiss her. He grabbed her and pulled her up to him before landing a kiss on her mouth. Her lips tasted like bacon.

"Are you sure, Ellie?" He asked quietly.

"Hunter, I'm positive." She nodded and placed her lips on his. Hunter smiled. He wanted this. All of this. Hunter cradled her face in his hands and slowly brought her in for a tender kiss. He broke the kiss and laid back in the sand. He closed his eyes and smiled. Could a moment be more perfect? He felt Arabella walk her fingers on his stomach and finally reach the waist of his jeans. Hunter's eyes shot open and he quickly grabbed her hand.

"Not today, missy." He said with red cheeks and a grin. She rolled on top of him and ran her hands along his chest. He placed his hands on hers and placed a small kiss on each hand before letting her slide off the side. She snuggled next to him and kissed his chest lightly. Hunter wrapped an arm around her casually and kissed her head. It was so nice to just lie there. He lightly grazed her arm with a few fingers and closed his eyes. Suddenly he felt her roll away from him.

"I'm sorry, that tickles." She said, rubbing her arms. She stood up and shivered for a moment before sighing. "Sorry." She said with slightly pink cheeks and a grin. Hunter raised an eyebrow.

"Tickles?" He stood up and raised an eyebrow. "What tickles?" He asked with a smile. She eyed him suspiciously.

"Hunter...Hunter, no." She said, backing away from him. Hunter smiled and ran after her. She turned and ran toward the water. She giggled as she ran and had just reached the water when Hunter caught up. He smiled and tackled her. She landed in wet sand and Hunter straddled her. He tickled under her arms and on her sides until she was red in the face and hard of breath. Hunter leaned down and kissed her gently on the lips.

"I love you." He said with a smile. She finally caught her breath and went to respond, but Hunter grabbed a handful of sand and smeared it on her face. She gasped and gave him a look that said, 'I can NOT believe you just did that.' Hunter grinned and felt a handful of sand hit him in the cheek. He grabbed more sand and spread it on her face and her neck until she was wearing a mask. She went to hit him with more sand, but Hunter caught her hand. He bent down and kissed her gently on the lips again before sitting back up again. She looked up at him and smiled. "You know? You're all covered in sand now." He said with a smile. He helped her up and brushed her off a little before shaking her head. "No. That won't do." He said with a sigh. She looked at him suspiciously again and started to back away. Hunter quickly stepped and swept her into his arms before walking toward the water.

"No! Hunter, no! Stop!" She screamed as she tried to shake out, but had no success. Hunter stepped into the water and waited until she gave up squirming.

"Did you think I was going to drop you in?" He said with a pretend hurt look. She wrapped her arms around his neck and smiled.

"Sorry. I love you, too." She said with a smile. Hunter kissed her gently on the lips before dropping her into the water.
