Chapter 76 - Arabella

Arabella walked over to the fridge and pulled out a jug of apple juice. As she poured herself a glass, she thought of how she was going to respond to Hunter. With a little shrug, she looked over at him "He's a nice guy. I guess he can be a little protective but he really is a great dad" She told him. Arabella, of course, was down playing just how protective he his. But she figured that he kind of had a right to be. He had liked Chad when he first met him. Chad was sweet and kind and her father loved him. But after everything went downhill with Chad, her father became hyper-protective. He would rather find out that she was fighting with some awful monster than see her with a man.

The timer dinged and Arabella tossed the oven mitts to Hunter. He looked at her with a raised eyebrow and a small smile on his face "Couldn't take it out of the oven yourself, could you?" he teased her as he bent down to take the pizza out of the oven. Arabella rolled her eyes and huffed.

"Okay..I guess I could take the pizza out and burn my hands off in the process" Arabella said and Hunter laughed. She walked over to him and punched his arm lightly before looking down at the pizza. It looked amazing and Arabella thought that the little heart were just amazing. She smiled up at Hunter and lightly kissed his cheek before looking through the drawers for the pizza cutter. Finally, she found it and passed it to Hunter.

"Why, thank you" Hunter said, taking the pizza cutter from her. As he started to slice up the pizza, Arabella walked around the kitchen, looking at everything. Her fingers brushed against the surface of the counters and the walls. Arabella walked to the window and she looked out of it. In the distance, she could see the ocean. A small smile spread across her lips. It was the most perfect place for them. But her smile faded when she remembered that Hunter hadn't invited her to live with him. He invited her for the night. Arabella let out a small sigh. But then she felt warm arms wrapping around her waist and gentle lips on the back of her neck. She smiled and turned to look at Hunter.

"Is the pizza ready?" Arabella whispered and Hunter nodded with a small smile on his face. She turned around in his arms and placed her hands on his neck. She leaned up and kissed him gently. Arabella leaned into him and his arms tightened around her. But then her stomach growled and she let out a giggle against his lips.

"Are you hungry, Ellie?" Hunter whispered, chuckling softly. Arabella laughed and nodded.

"That pizza smells really good" Arabella giggled and she moved out of Hunter's arms and towards the pizza that Hunter had put on the plates. She smiled and started to eat.

The morning seemed to fly by, which was odd because Arabella and Hunter didn't really do much at all. They sat around together, talking and laughing with each other. It felt so simple and so right. She didn't ever want to leave where they were but she knew that dinner time was fast approaching and her dad was going to be expecting her. Arabella was in the bathroom, pulling on a dress that was in her luggage. She had found all of her bags for Europe in the back of her car this morning. She shook her wet hair from the shower and started to loosely braid it.

"Where are we meeting your dad?" Hunter said from the other side of the door, in his bedroom. Arabella looked at the door for a second before turning back to the mirror.

"He's in the city for a couple days and he still has an apartment. It's only a couple streets down from mine. We're going to meet him there" Arabella told him and twisted the hair band around her braid. She opened the door slowly, in case Hunter was naked again. She smiled when she saw him. He was already dresses and ready to go. He looked amazing and Arabella couldn't help herself. She walked over to him and wrapped her arms around his neck and kissing him before he could say anything "I am a really, really lucky girl" she whispered against his lips and ran her fingers down his chest.

"I look okay, then?" Hunter asked. He looked and sounded nervous which Arabella could understand but she really loved the fact that he was actually going to go with her and meet her dad. It made her really happy/

"Okay? You look so damn fine" Arabella teased and grinned at him. She kissed him lightly then turned to grab her purse. Together, they walked out of his house and into his car. He drove into the city and Arabella turned on the radio, hoping that it would calm Hunter down. He looked really, really nervous. Unfortunately, the radio station kept playing songs that made the situation even more awkward. Like S&M by Rhianna, so Arabella turned off the radio.

It wasn't long before they were pulling up to the apartment. It was similar to Arabella's apartment building but it was older and was a lot more expensive. She leaned over to Hunter and smiled at him "Everything is going to be okay. He'll love you" she said softly and placed a kiss on his jaw. She climbed out of the car and took Hunter's hand when he got out. Together they walked into the apartment and onto the elevator.

Ding.

Arabella looked and Hunter and smiled they stopped at the top floor. She grinned up at him then nearly skipped off of the elevator. Arabella managed to knock once before the door was opened fiercely. A skinny boy with a mop of brown hair stood in the doorway with a smile on his face. "Tyler!!" she squealed and wrapped her arms around the 15 year old boy, hugging him closely. She pulled away from the hug when she saw her father standing just behind Tyler "Hi Daddy!" she exclaimed before jumping into his open arms.
